AT&T's Original Microwave Paths in Montana
The map below shows a network of Microwave paths across Montana. It is believed that many of these sites were co-operated with Mountain Bell and many were outright owned by Mountain Bell as part of their local feeds. Documents indicate that the primary Long Lines microwave paths in Montana followed I90 from Idaho at the Mullan Site (Lookout Pass) east through Helena and Bozeman to Billings where it split and followed I94 beyond Miles City to North Dakota and south along I90 to Wyoming. The other route ran north along I15 from Dillon through Helena and Great Falls to Cut Bank and into Canada.
