Capilla Peak Repeater and Site
The Capilla Peak UHF repeater
is located at an elevation of 9,303 feet East of Interstate 25 near the
Manazano Mountains. Coverage is excellent in many locations like: Socorro,
Belen, Los Lunas, Edgewood, Estancia, Mountainair, Moriarty. Additionally
in great coverage to south and western Albuquerque like Rio Rancho and west
along I40 to Grants. The antenna is a Decibel Products Omni Directional
Antenna (DB-408) with 8db gain at the top of the 65 foot tower. The repeater
is a Motorola MTR3000 Digital Mobile Radio(DMR). The site is difficult to
get to in the winter, with 4 feet of snow on the ground very common, so
reliability is the goal. More information about our Digital repeaters can
