Gold Creek Repeater and Site
The Gold Creek UHF repeater
is located about 4 miles south of Gold Creek, Montana on a hill with an
elevation of 4,962 feet. The site sits south of Interstate 90 and looks
west into the canyon east of Missoula and east towards Avon. The site covers
parts of I90 from north of Butte through Deer Lodge and Garrison. The repeater
is a Motorola MSF 5000 operating at 40 watts and has an ARR GaAsFet receiver
preamp. The antenna is a Decibel Products DB-408 with 6 db gain in a omni-directional
pattern. The antenna is on top of the 50 foot tower. The repeater will be
permanently linked to MacDonald Pass. The repeater is on a frequency of
444.300 input and 449.300 output and requires a CTCSS tone of 131.8hz.
