La Mosca Peak Repeater and Site

The La Mosca Peak UHF repeater is located at an elevation of 11,200 feet just north of Interstate 40 near Grants, New Mexico. Coverage is excellent in almost all directions from Arizona to East of Albuquerque, with mobile coverage in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Socorro, Las Lunas, Gallup, and much more in New Mexico. The antenna is a DB Products Omni Directional Dual Antenna with 5db gain at the top of the 180 foot tower. The repeater is a Hytera RD985 Digital (DMR) dual mix radio that is also available with Analog. The site is difficult to get to in the winter, with 8 feet of snow on the ground very common, so reliability is the goal. More information about our Digital repeaters can be found on DMR Montana.
